Sir Jack Brabham was one of the most important figures in Formula One history—a brilliant driver, engineer and innovator who became three-time Formula One World Champion in 1959, 1960 and 1966.

The Australian’s greatest achievement came in 1966, when he won the World Championship driving a car bearing his own name, the Brabham BT19, making him the only driver in Formula One history to win the World Championship in a car of his own construction.
